The Jungle Room

Man, this will have to be my new favorite illustration of the book. The Jungle Room. This is where the main character finds a quiver full of poison tipped darts in the old man's jungle room in his house. Right as he is about to take a closer look at one of the darts the old man bursts into the room frightening him and warning him that the darts are dangerous.

Oh, and by the way on an unrelated note. I just saw the movie "Inception" last night by Christopher Nolan starring Leonardo Di Caprio...It is a MUST seeee. Very intricate plot with very real and believable characters. It is not a casual movie, be ready to think when going to see it. Best movie I've seen in a whillee, and the music was phenomenal as well.

New Page

Phew ok, this one wasn't AS difficult as the last one, but i did take longer on it than I thought i would.
Can't really describe whats happening here, its something that you have to see in context with the story. The most I can say, and I think it sums it up pretty well actually is: The boy's little sister is calling him on his bullshit. lol. hope you like

The Old Man and the Museum

Phew. Ok Work has started on the second story. The Old Man and the Museum. This is probably gonna be the most labor intensive story of the three. There's so much detailed descriptions of the inside of the house, how its full of all kinds of trinkets and historical objects... phew. Anyway I finished the first page of it and I'm pretty happy with how it came out. Its definitely a good motivator as its the most detailed painting I think I've done to date.

This is the first page, so basically its our nerdy main character meeting the old man for the first time. He is unpacking his car which is full of new finds for his collection and the protagonist offers his assistance.

Final images

Ok well these are the last two images for this story. I've become a bit strapped for time, and the other ones need to get started.

This is one of the earlier images. The little boy finds a wounded pigeon on the road and decides to take it in and care for it. His sister suggests putting it in her dolly's crib.

This image is the last image of the story. Basically they discover that the pigeon is actually a homing pigeon, and with all the boy's doctoring and nursing the bird is back to flying health. They release the bird with a help message, and later that day are rescued, because the owner of the pigeon reported to the coastguard.

Phew. New Illustration

This, was stressful. This was the most complicated image so far for me, but I've crossed it I think, (unless i look back at it later on and see something that bothers me)
I think it came out pretty good, I unfortunately will not be posting process work for this one lol. Sorry if I disappointed you.
ONWARDS WITH THE WORK!

Oh It was brought to my attention that the first illustration I did, with the boy and his pets, the parrot on his shoulder doesnt have a shadow....whoops! haha This will be fixed, no worries.

Spain is playing Paraguay right now so I'm heading off!
